Art. 1- Rules of the Competition
The competition is designed for young musicians, both male and female, of any nationality.


Art. 2 – Categories and Performances
Category A: for people born from 2008 to 2010
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).
Free choice program max lengh 5 minutes.
FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 5 minutes.

Category B: for people born from 2005 to 2007
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).
Free choice program max lengh 8 minutes.
FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 5 minutes.

Category C: for people born from 2003 to 2004
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).
Free choice program max lengh 10 minutes.
FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 8 minutes.

Category D: pfor people born from 2000 to 2002
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).

FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 8 minutes.

Category E: for people born from 1997 to 1999
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).
Free choice program max lengh 12 minutes.
FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 8 minutes.

Category F: for people born from 1991 to 1996
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).
Free choice program max lengh 15 minutes.
FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 10 minutes.

Category G: Adults from the age of 31 onwards without limits of age
PRELIMINARY ROUND
Preselection based on the examination of the video sent by the competitors (see Art. 3 and 4).
Free choice program max lengh 15 minutes.
FINAL ROUND
Live audition on a specific online platform.
Repetition of the pieces presented in the video + Free choice program max lengh 10 minutes.


Art. 3 – Programma di esecuzione
The candidate must send a video recording (according to the requirements of Art. 4) of the musical piece of the PRELIMINARY ROUND to the Competition secretariat, together with the submission of the application form (see Art. 10).
Only candidates who will have achieved at least 85 points are admitted to the FINAL ROUND.
The FINAL test will take place live on a specific online platform.
In the event that, during the on-line performance, malfunctions of the audio-video connection arise, the performance must be repeated again after the connection has been restored, only if at least 75% of the planned program has not been performed.


Art. 4 – Video Instructions
The video recording of the performance must be of good quality and meet the following requirements:
• it is forbidden to use the video made during concerts, competitions or exams;
• participants can record the video at any time of the year: the age of the participants during filming should be aligned with the age category;
• the faces, the performative gesture and the instrument of all the participants must be clearly shown in the video;
• before the performance the candidate must pronounce their name and the title of the piece performed;
• any changes made after the start of the performance will not be accepted: the competitor will be automatically disqualified and the registration fee will not be refunded;
• if post-production is detected in the video, the participant will be disqualified without notice;
• there are no limits to the place, the type of clothing and the video shooting technique: smartphones, tablets, computers, video cameras can be used for recording;
• the copyright of the video belongs to the competition committee once it has been submitted; the competition committee can upload the video to the Competition website;
• the video file must be in one of the following digital formats: .avi .wmv .mov .mp4 .m4v;
• the video file must be sent to the email address studiomusica.treviso@gmail.com, together with the submission of the application form (see Art. 10).


Art. 5 - Schedule
The auditions of the final round will be on July 12-16, 2021.


Art. 6 - Auditions
The live auditions (live streaming) will take place via the online platform according to the calendar that will be published (on the Competition website) by 7 July 2021. With the publication of the audition calendar, all information relating to the online platform to be used for auditions will be provided.
Before their audition, the Competitors must show a copy of an identity document.


Art. 7 - Panel of judges
The assessing panel is made up of music school teachers, music operators, musicologists and journalists. The judges will vote individually, through secret ballot, in hundredths. The mean value will be calculated by leaving out the highest and the lowest score.


Art. 8 – Scores and award
Score not less than 98/100: Absolute First Prize diploma, Plaque and Concert
Score not less than 95/100: First Prize diploma, Plaque and Concert
Score not less than 90/100: Second Prize diploma
Score not less than 85/100: Third Prize diploma
Score not less than 80/100: diploma of merit
All other candidates will receive an attendance certificate.

For the winners of the Absolute First Prize there is also the Special Prize "Festina Lente": a recording and production in the Studio (Studio Musica Recording Studio).

There are also 3 scholarships of € 100 each, which will be awarded by the jury for the best performance of an Italian author of the 19th century.


Art. 9 – Registration fees
Registration fee: € 30,00.


Art. 10 - Registration form
Applicants can use the Academy registration form or a copy. The form can be requested at the Music Academy “Studio Musica” – Via Andrea Gritti, 25 – 31100 Treviso or downloaded from website www.studiomusicatreviso.it.

The application form will have to be sent by e-mail or handed in at the competition office by July 4, 2021.
The registration fee (as requested in Art. 7) can be paid directly to the audition venue the day of the audition, or by bank transfer to:

Applicants will be charged of all bank/postal office expenses.
Registration fees are non refundable.



Art. 11 – General Regulations
The candidates can enroll in a category higher than their age.
The candidates are not forced to reach the maximum time set up for their category, but the Commission can stop the execution if exceed the specified limits.
The Commission is entitled to ask for repetitions or interrupt the performances whenever it considers it necessary, or choose the pieces to be performed.
It is not neccessary to perform a score from memory.
The final judgment will be final in all cases.


Art. 12 – Teachers’ awards
The teacher who will have the highest number of prize winners will be awarded an “Honour Certificate” and will be invited to be a judge for the next competition.


Art. 13 - Additional Regulations
Those who register for the competition must accept all the regulations herein mentioned.


Art. 14 – Privacy
According to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the candidates’ personal data will be stored at and by the music Academy “Studio Musica” for information purposes only. All candidates have the right to cancel or edit data or deny its use.
In the registration form of the competition, adult participants and parents of underage competitors can express their consent to the organization's use of the audio/video material sent for the competition rounds, to advertise the competition and promote the talent of the competitors.
