Mizuho Furukubo born on 19th July 1991 in Basel, Switzerland. She moved to Japan at the age of four where she begun studying piano in 1996 ; she has studied with Yuko Harashima, Kumiko Kumekawa, Nobuko Kondo and Naoko Shibanuma during the elementary school and middle school period.
She graduated in 2010 at the Toho Gakuen Music High School , then in 2014 at the Toho Gakuen College Music Department , in Tokyo under the guidance of Nobutatsu Kawashima.
In 2014 she moved to Italy. In October 2017 she finished the Master of first level as Maestro Collaboratore with Fabrizio Del Bianco, Patrizia Tirindelli and Silvano Zabeo at The Conservatory of Music Giuseppe Tartini in Trieste with top marks and honors. During her study in Trieste she attended the specialisation course of EPTA Italy with Marcella Crudeli in Roma and with Giuseppe Albanese.
In January 2021 she graduated the Master of second level as piano-soloist with Igor Cognolato at Conservatory of Music Benedetto Marcello in Venice with top marks.
She has won the second prize at the competition Lilian Carian XXX Camber Music Edition (2016) with clarinettist Erik Kuret and XXXIV Edition (2021) with mezzosoprano Fiorenza Badila Costantini at Trieste , the prize “Salotto Clara Boggian” at the 5th International Competition Elsa Respighi (2019) in Verona with soprano Rinako Hara , the first prize as pianist at the International Music Competition Online 2021 Europe-China “Crescendo” , “the best pianist accompanist award” at the 18th International Competition of Camber Vocal Music “Seghizzi” Gorizia (2021) and 2nd prize Ex-aequo as soloist at the 18th International Music Competition for young Musicians “Luigi Zanuccoli” Sogliano al Rubicone.
She worked as official piano-accompanist at the 5th and 7th International Music Competition “Città di Palmanova” (2017&2019), the13th and 14th International Competition “Musica Insieme” Musile di Piave (2018&2019), XVLIII International Competition for singers “Toti Dal Monte” Treviso (2018), 16th International Competition of Camber Vocal Music “Seghizzi” Gorizia (2018) and 11th and 12nd International Music Competition “Giovani Musicisti - città di Treviso” (2019,2020 & 2021).
In 2019/2020 she worked at the Conservatory of Music Jacopo Tomadini in Udine as accompanist.
She was selected as scholarship student for Bayreuther Festspiele 2018 by the association Richard Wagner of Venice and participated at the concert in Bayreuth with mezzosoprano Miliamo Albano in August 2018.
She worked at theatre at “La Traviata” of Giuseppe Verdi at teatro comunale of Treviso, Ferrara and Rovigo (January/February 2018) and “Il Regno della Luna” of Nicolo Piccinni al Teatro Malibran of Venice (May 2018) as Chorus member, at “La Statira” of Tommaso Albioni at Teatro Malibran of Venice (February/March
2019) ,Teatro Comunale of Treviso (November 2019)and at “La Serva Padrona” of
Pergolesi al Teatro Malibran of Venice (February 2020) as cembalista/maestro collaboratore.
Since January 2021 she works as accompanist at the Conservatory of Music Giuseppe Tartini in Trieste and Conservatory of Music Benedetto Marcello in Venezia.
