Alessandra Trentin



Alessandra Trentin graduated with highest honors from the Venice Conservatory in the class of M. F. Bottino. At the same time, she attended annual Chamber Music courses with Masters Pasquale Rispoli and Marco Zuccarini. Selected among the Conservatory’s top students, she was invited to perform a series of solo concerts organized by the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice. She later refined her studies with Vio, Mildonian, Holliger, Lozer, and Bosio.

Over the course of her artistic career, she has performed in more than seven hundred concerts, including recitals, solo performances with orchestra (Debussy, Mozart, Handel, Wagenseil), and chamber music in duo, trio, quartet, and other ensembles. Her concert activity is primarily as a soloist and has taken place in major theaters and institutions both in Italy and abroad: Gran Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Malibran, and Teatro Goldoni (Venice), Teatro Lux, Teatro Pio X, and Palazzo della Ragione (Padua), Teatro Due Torri (Potenza), Teatro Mario Del Monaco (Treviso), Teatro Principal de Palencia (Spain), Sala Mozart (Bologna), Guggenheim Museum (Venice), Auditorium of Vitoria (Spain), La Biennale di Venezia, Gioventù Musicale d’Italia, the Wiener Saal at the Mozarteum (Salzburg), and at numerous Italian Conservatories (Alessandria, Venice, Trento, Adria), as well as in many other cities including Turin, Taranto, Rome, Rovigo, Trento, Macerata, Verona, Forlì, Pordenone, etc. She has performed for institutions such as the Lake Como Festival, Romaeuropa Festival, Gioventù Musicale d’Italia, SIEM, Galuppi Festival, Amici della Musica, Agimus, Goethe Institut, Fondazione Levi, Salvi Harps, Biennale Koper Contemporary Music Festival, and Biennale Venezia.

She has recorded for radio and television (RAI, Swiss Radio, Vatican Radio, VeniceClassic Radio Italia, EMRecords) and has released both solo and chamber music recordings spanning repertoire from the 18th century to contemporary works. Her repertoire includes music from the 11th century to contemporary forms of expression. Composers such as Amendola, Bellotti, Caniato, Mancuso, Rebora, and Zatti have written works for her; she has premiered numerous compositions (Alessandretti, Antoni, Baratello, Grasso, Kern, Khayami, Michielon, Razaz, Rossi, Spinosa, Vaglini) and has contributed to revisions of works for her instrument.

She has collaborated with the Orchestra of the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and as principal soloist with the orchestras of the Teatro Mario Del Monaco in Treviso, the Bulgarian Festival of Plovdiv, the Ballet Nacional de España, Orchestra Guarnieri, Quadrivium Ensemble, and the Piccola Orchestra Veneta conducted by Benedetti Michelangeli, Inbal, Bertini, Pretre, Otvos, David, Rohani, among others.

A winner of numerous competitions, she has served on the juries of harp and chamber music competitions such as Città di Padova, Musile, Città di Treviso, and Potenza. She has taught international masterclasses (Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Nervi, Gualdo Tadino). She currently teaches Harp at the Venice Music High School (Liceo Musicale di Venezia) and at the Accademia Studio Musica in Treviso.

For many years, she has coordinated the VeniceHarpEnsemble, a permanent harp orchestra that performs regularly in venues such as the Diocesan Museum of Brescia and events including Expo 2015 Milan (Castello Sforzesco), Talent Music Master in Verona, and CremonaMondoMusica. The VeniceHarpEnsemble produced video recordings for the MIUR Music Week 2021.

She has served as artistic director of the International Composition Competitions Women Composers, Victor Salvi Prize, and the Comitato Amadè. Actively engaged in musical organization, in collaboration with the City of Venice and local cultural associations, she curates concert series supporting emerging young talents and promoting the work of women composers through recordings, concerts, publications, and seminars.
