Simone Erre is an italian professor of recorder and baroque transverse flute at the Conservatory of music "A. Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto and, as recorder teacher as well, at the Conservatorio di musica ISSM “F. Vittadini” of Pavia where he also teaches musical pedagogy.
He graduated in recorder at the “A. Pedrollo” Conservatory of Vicenza with the M. Livia Caffagni with full marks. At the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan he studied recorder with E. M. Recondo and P. Memelsdorff. He also studied with C. Krueger, D. Hammer, R. Escalas and D. Brüggen.

The didactic activity is completed by summer Master Classes and seminars among which we highlight: the Accademia degli Imperfetti in Pescara, the Early Music Festival in Parma, Piceno Classica, a seminar entitled La musica per danza nel rinascimento e barocco (Music for dancing in the Renaissance and Baroque) at the Conservatory of Trento, Academy Studio Musica in Treviso and in Tavernola Bergamasca with L'Antica Pratica.

He is the director and founder of the Accademia Il Giardino delle Muse ensemble with which he performs in concerts and in important Early Music Festivals. With this ensemble, in 2014 he recorded the CD entitled Musica Sacra released by Brilliant Classic record label. This latter was also broadcasted on the radio in the United States of America. In 2016 for Studio Recording he recorded the CD entitled Fantasia sopra La Sol Fa Re Mi. In June 2019 the ensemble participated in the Ravenna Festival, Vespri a San Vitale. He founded and directed the ensemble I Tesori di Orfeo with whom he recorded a CD entirely dedicated to the 17th Century French Baroque entitled Air sur les Folies d'Espagne, with very good reviews in Amadeus magazine, in February 2014. This work was presented live on Radio Rai 3 in 2013 and, again on Radio Rai 3 as a new recording release. He was director of the Il Biancofiore ensemble, specialized in the European Renaissance repertoire, with whom he recorded a CD entitled Contraponto bestiale a la mente. This work was presented live on Radio Rai 3 in 2009. In Pavia he founded and directed for ten years the early music season I Tesori di Orfeo, always acclaimed by public and critics. He is one of the founders of the ensemble, Voices Winds and Viols, a musical group born inside the Conservatorio di musica "A. Steffani” of Castelfranco Veneto which brings together the teachers of early music with the best students of this discipline. With this ensemble he has already performed in important events. With the ensembles directed and founded by him, he has performed in important festivals in Italy and abroad. He has over 500 concerts to his credit. In June 2019 he toured Japan in Osaka, Okinawa and Obu. He also collaborates with the Ensemble Magnificat, Instrumental Academy "F. A. Vallotti ", Ensemble Il Continuo, Silentia Lunae and with The Bach Ensemble.

Part of his artistic activity is recorded on CDs published by Giuglia, Tactus, Red, Stradivarius and Brilliant.
He carries out musicological activity so much that in 2004 the Revista Catalana de Musicologia published an article entitled “Tra pratica e teoria: da quali taglie è costituito un consort di traverse?” (Among practice and theory: of which sizes is made a traversa consort?).
In addition to his recorder diploma taken with full marks at the Vicenza Conservatory of music with Maestro Livia Caffagni, he graduated in transverse flute at the Piacenza Conservatory of music and in baroque flute at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan.

At the University of Paleography and Musicology of Cremona he also obtained a post-graduate diploma in teaching ability.
